Aircon services in Tampines

Two Tampines, two kinds of aircon job
Tampines is the regional centre of the east, with Tampines station on the East-West and Downtown lines, Simei on the East-West Line, and Tampines West and Tampines East on the Downtown Line. Tampines Mall, Century Square, Tampines 1 and Our Tampines Hub cluster at the centre. The HDB estates around them date from the 1980s, while Tampines North is a much younger district of BTO flats completed in recent years. The aircon needs of the two are quite different.
If your flat is from the 1980s or 1990s
Your system has probably been replaced at least once, and the current one may be ten years old or more. The usual problems are:
- water dripping from the indoor unit, often a clogged drain pipe or overflowing tray, explained in why an aircon leaks water;
- cooling that fades even after servicing, which points to dirt built up in the blower fan, drain pan or coil;
- a smell that comes back quickly. Premium servicing gives the coil a PowerJet deep clean and takes out the blower fan and drain pan for a PowerJet wash, and a chemical wash adds proper coil chemical before that PowerJet step, for grime that water alone leaves behind. If the unit has gone years without a deep clean, a chemical overhaul is the last resort if a wash cannot shift it.
If you collected keys in Tampines North
Your system is young, and the priority is keeping it that way with regular premium servicing. When the time comes for a first wash, compare what is actually included: our post on cheap chemical wash deals shows what is sometimes left out. Either way, our 90-day warranty applies to every service.
