Privacy policy

This policy explains how iAircon (UEN 53347073X, "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit www.iaircon.repair or contact us. We follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect

• When you send a message through our contact form: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, and your message.
• When you call, WhatsApp or message us on Telegram: your number or account name and what you tell us. On WhatsApp, Luna, our AI assistant, reads and answers your messages so we can help you at any hour. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and Luna uses Google Gemini, an AI service from Google, to process your messages.
• When you book: bookings are made in our separate booking app (iaircon.app), which collects the details it needs for your appointment, such as your address and preferred slot. Every booking is paid online to confirm it; payments there are handled by Stripe.

We do not sell personal data, and this website does not run advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

Only to answer your enquiry, arrange and carry out the service you ask for, follow up on warranty claims and keep the records the law requires. We contact you about your enquiry or booking, not with marketing, unless you ask us to.

Cookies

We set one small cookie, ia_intro, so the short logo animation plays only on your first visit. It holds no personal data and expires after a year. Signed-in staff using our admin also get a login cookie.

Videos, reviews and other services we use

• YouTube.We use YouTube API Services to show our latest videos. This only reads public information about our own channel's videos; it does not access or store any information about you. Video thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers (i.ytimg.com) when a page opens. Video players load only when you press play, from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). By watching a video you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. When a video plays, YouTube may set cookies and collect data under the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
• TikTok. TikTok videos also load only when you press play. TikTok's privacy policy then applies.
• Google reviews.Our Google reviews are shown live from Google Maps. Reviewers' profile photos load from Google's servers, under the Google Privacy Policy.
• Hosting. The site is hosted on Vercel and its database on Neon. They process data only to run the site for us.
• Shopee.Product links take you to our Shopee store, where Shopee's own privacy policy applies to your purchase.

Data outside Singapore

Some of these providers (hosting, WhatsApp, the AI service, Stripe and YouTube) may store or process data outside Singapore. Where they do, we rely on their contractual and legal safeguards to protect your data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to help you, and service records for as long as we need them for warranty and legal purposes. After that we delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot carry out a booking. We will reply within 30 days.
